These options, available on certain ranges, add extra protection while retaining Sunbrella's distinctive aesthetics and quality.
Sunbrella flame retardant finish: safety without compromise
With the flame retardant finish, Sunbrella is committed to ensuring increased safety without compromising the durability of the fabrics. Thanks to a special underlay made from graphite and polyester-viscose non-woven, this finish complies with the main international fire protection standards, such as California Technical Bulletin 117-203 and NFPA 260 Class I. Sunbrella flame retardant fabrics allow you to enjoy your space with complete peace of mind, whether for indoor or outdoor use. Despite this advanced protection, the fabrics retain their suppleness and remain washable, both in the washing machine at 30° and in bleach, without losing their effectiveness.
Sunbrella waterproof finish: the ultimate protection against water
For areas that are particularly exposed to the elements, Sunbrella also offers a waterproof finish. This innovation guarantees perfect waterproofing thanks to a polyurethane membrane, adding an extra protective barrier to our already water-repellent fabrics. Rigorously tested, this finish resists a water column of more than 1500 mm, even after 4000 hours of UV exposure, several washing cycles and intense wear and tear. In other words, whether you're installing your fabrics by the pool or on your boat, Sunbrella waterproof fabrics give you lasting protection against moisture while remaining easy to care for.
