Solar protection - SWK ZIP

Designed to fit large Zip systems, SWK Zip, when used dynamically and automatically, enhances user comfort both thermally and visually. Throughout the year, the fabric acts as a protective membrane for the building: In summer, it blocks up to 96% of heat, reducing indoor temperatures by 7°C. In winter, it retains heat inside, contributing to lower energy consumption.

SWK Zip features an optimized 4% openness factor, which reduces glare while maintaining natural light and protects against wind while allowing pleasant ventilation in pergola applications.

Like other SWK references from Dickson, SWK Zip benefits from the advantages of Rachel Trameur weaving, a technique that provides exceptional mechanical strength and ensures a winning combination of resistance – finesse – lightness.

Thanks to a fundamental change in its weave, the fabric reaches one of the highest tear resistance levels on the market and offers excellent wind resistance, a key challenge for this type of application. Its dimensional stability also helps it maintain its original shape throughout its lifecycle. Additionally, the outstanding UV color fastness confirms Dickson’s commitment to durability and quality.

SWK Zip has a smooth and discreet texture, allowing it to blend with any architectural style. Its new construction is designed to resist dirt accumulation, making it easy to clean and long-lasting. The range of 10 trendy colors, a mix of natural and ash tones, is the result of Dickson’s designers' continuous pursuit of seamless integration with modern building materials.

What is the most innovative technical feature of your fabric?

"Its high dimensional stability while remaining extremely thin and lightweight."

What market demand does it address?

"Buildings now have larger openings to let in more natural light. As a result, solar protections have also grown and evolved. Our new screen fabric is a perfect solution for all large-scale Zip systems."
